By joining the PADI IDC Indonesia; PADI Divemasters and PADI
Instructors can develop their career to a level that will not only make them
highly employable, but will develop their confidence to deal with all the
challenges and obstacles a PADI professional
can expect to find within industry.
There are a range of career enhancing options available at
our PADI CDC Center in Gili Trawangan. Our PADI IDC Indonesia Komodo
experience program will allow instructors to experience running a successful
livaboard operation by shadowing the cruise director on board our Livaboard
trip in Komodo. For those who have a real passion for the environment we run
The PADI IDC Gili Islands Biorock IDC and conservation Program which
allows candidates to finish their instructor training and progress straight onto
the 2 week Biorock program which teaches you about general environmental
conditions and ways in which they can be identified and protected. Students
will look at the way in which the reefs have been protected in the Gili Islands
and see first-hand the effect this has had on the immediate environment. Other
Career Development options include Technical Diving and Videography programs.
The IDC course itself is taught on a 10 day schedule with a
recommended additional 4 days of pre-IDC preparation. The course is a very
serious course but at the same time can be fun. Trawangan Dive is the only PADI
Career Development Center (CDC) in the Gili Islands and therefore is a very
busy center allowing candidates to meet a range of other professional and non-professional
divers, taking their first steps in networking themselves within the dive
community. Also should Instructor candidates wish to take an experience
internship they will be shadowing some of our experienced instructor learning
the course format, picking up some valuable tips and of course picking up their
first certifications. Check out our PADI Instructor Training website for
more information about the IDC Course here in Gili Trawangan. We can also be found
on our PADI IDC Indonesia Facebook page where you can check out previous
candidates and follow their progress. For more information don’t hesitate to contactour PADI Course Director directly for more info.
